The 2005 movie version with Keira Knightley and Matthew MacFayden is my favorite version and was nominated for best musical score, costume design, best leading actress and more. The cast was exceptional and is based on the book written by Jane Austen in 1813.
This movie struck (I was going to say "touched" but it's not strong enough) my heart for so many reasons. This is no light and fluffy love story but one that shares the characters light and dark sides sometimes with humor, candor and slowly displays the true feelings between the main characters and family.
"I could easily forgive his pride, if he had not mortified mine" was stated quietly near the beginning at the first ball and it caught my attention and sits with me as a lesson to ponder time and again in my own life. This quote highlights the importance of assessing both the actions of others and their impact on one's emotions and self-worth when deciding if forgiveness is warranted.
Getting to know yourself is continual and many times when there's conflict in my life my story starts to grow and unravel🧶. When I listen to others sharing situations, the same truth applies. Bottom line is we don't always have to be right, be in control or worse, even recognize that we may be similar to the very person we're in conflict with.
With age the realization is that following intuition and gut about relationships and/or stories occurs naturally. Mantra: keep the good stuff, let go of the bad. Good energy is what needs to flow for health and well-being. Qigong is truly a practice that helps with this thru slow, meditative movements, stillness, breathwork and self-massage. Over time, the impact of a consistent practice is apparent simply by how you feel, react and choose light in your life💕. See you in class, check out the movie🍿 - enjoy.
