We concentrate on wellness and aging, but what does that truly entail? Do you think you have ample time to address this matter, or are you already making sure to look after yourself? Personally, I have good days and some "not so good days." Regardless, it's important to remember that it's a daily commitment so that illness, inflammation, or stiffness (to name a few) don't creep in.
It can be quite overwhelming, so perhaps taking it one day at a time and adopting healthier habits is the way to go. Embrace the practices you like and live fully. Check these ideas out and let us know your favorite:
Stay hydrated🥤
Move🚲least every hour during the day
Let your plate be filled with lots of veggies and some protein
Get a minimum of 7 hours of 💤sleep
Sunshine is a must - sit outside, 🌞walk or chat with a friend
Participate in regular social events and interactions
A new favorite: take🧶on "grandma hobbies" which reduces stress, activates the brain and improves mental health i.e. knitting, crocheting, needlework, baking . . .
Discover happiness and appreciation in all things
Clear and organize space - keep what you love and let go of the rest
Every day is a new day to take care of yourself, so don't judge yourself for having a lazy afternoon or a cupcake. Sometimes those moments are just what you need. Moderation and your willingness to begin each day taking care of yourself work. Remember the 4th agreement from Don Miquel Ruiz' book (one of our faves) The Four Agreements:
Always do your best. Your best is going to change from moment to
moment: it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick.
Under any circumstance simply do your best and you will avoid
self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.
We are passionate♾️about qigong and Reiki and are eager to share them with you regularly. Both practices are designed to improve your health and support your aging well strategies. We look forward to seeing you soon.
