Revitalize Your Energy: 3 Qigong Poses to Embrace Late Summer🫐

With the enhancement of Late Summer "earth" energy, we suggest these 3 poses to help you release worry šŸŒ€and inspire your daily practice.

Illustrations of three Qigong poses: Standing Side Bend, Seated Twist, and Standing Forward Fold. Text reads "3 Qigong Poses for Spring."
Child's Pose opens the back body and releases 😟worry.
Sink back towards heels and extend arms. Focus on in and out breaths and relax and release worry.Ā

Resting Twist increases circulation, opens torso, and creates space for organs.
Lying on your back, bend knees into chest, drop knees to one side and bring opposite arm out to side onto floor. Focus on in and out breaths.

Happy Baby enhances flexibility, relieves tension, and promotes calm🪷.

Lie flat on your back and bring your knees toward your chest, keeping them at a 90-degree angle. The bottoms of your feet should face the ceiling. Reach forward and grab the inside or outside edges of your feet. Spread your knees apart gently. They should be wider than your armpits. Flex your ankles and gently rock from side-to-side. Focus on in and out breaths as you continue to rock it out.

These poses compliment the rhythm and season of ā›°ļøLate Summer and the impact of these changes to our body, mind and spirit. Late Summer invites in the grounding energy of earth, the🟔color yellow, balancing worry and observing digestion, not only of food but how we digest the situations in our lives. We practice poses that support the seasons in qigong class throughout the year with other slow flowing movements, breathwork, tapping and stillness. Join us in class and see what all the buzz šŸis about.
