Natural Qigong

Were you aware that you incorporate qigong into your daily routine without even realizing it? So what is natural qigong?  Natural qigong is the activities you do that impacts your qi, your life force energy.

Simply taking a walk 🚶 has powerful effects upon your qi.  When you walk you breathe more deeply bringing in universal qi.  Walking activates the Yungchuan/Bubbling Spring point in the center sole of your foot. You’re activating your kidney points which are powerful centers of qi and with the swinging of your arms your lung points are activated.

Gardening 🌼 is also a wonderful way to practice natural qigong.  You’re standing between heaven and earth, taking in both universal and earth energy.  By working with the soil, your hands are drawing in earth energy through the points in the center of your palms.

If you need them in a specific context or format, please let me know!

Swimming 🏊 is also a wonderful way to activate your qi.  Remember, our bodies are over 70% water, so floating in water naturally brings down your nervous system and blood pressure, and lets you naturally relax.  Active swimming involves a rhythmic movement between your arms and legs, activating your meridians/energy channels in both.  As we age, this is a wonderful activity since it relieves pressure on our joints.

Numerous other activities influence your qi, including dancing, biking, skiing, and Stack-It habits. These activities contribute to enhancing your qi, your life force energy. Pay attention to how you feel after engaging in these activities. Do you feel more energized, lively, and joyful? Notice how you feel after sitting at a desk for extended periods. You might feel exhausted and stiff due to stagnant qi.
