The timing could not be better with June upon us! In an article about "super aging" a gentleman (90+ years old) stated that his mind was fit and sharp, not only from good diet, rest and activity BUT he believes a major factor was GRATITUDE. Gratitudeđis not just an act, but a way of being.
Gratitude: the state of being grateful : THANKFULNESS.  Psychology Today states "gratitude is positively correlated to more vitality, energy, and đenthusiasm." When we establish a gratitude practice we recognize the "good" in our lives. Simply, the more often we giveđ thanks, the better we feel.Â
There's many ways to create and practice gratitude. Take your pick and try:
Start a journal and jotđïž down anything you're feeling grateful for. For example it could be your first sip of coffee, a sunrise, sprouts popping up, warm socks on a cold day and the list goes on. It's easy, quick and mood-shifting.
Share your gratitude with others. When you say "thank you" take a moment or two to feel the energy in your chest and how it feels to share this. This brings us to a new level of not just "doing" but "being" gratitude.Â
Our lives are filled with gratitude, acts of kindness, and thankfulness. Make sure to pause, be mindful, and share. Practicing meditation, breathwork, and movement helps us stay healthy, age gracefully, and appreciateđeverything we possess.  We look forward to seeing you in class - sign up now.
